Bacteria Cells
Bacteria cells have cell walls that are made of cross-linked chains of peptides, which are made of amino acids. The cell walls also contain NAM and NAG (N-acetyl muramic acid and N-acetylglucosamine). However, the NAM-NAG linkages can be degraded by lysozyme, found in nasal secretions, tears, and saliva. The bacteria cell wall is layered, from the outside in it is: Capsule→Cell Wall→Plasma Membrane→Cytoplasm.
