The Endomembrane System
The endomembrane system is composed of membranes that are contained in the cytoplasm of a eukaryotic cell, compartmentalizing the organelles within. The endomembrane system is completely interconnected, however, the lipid and protein make up of each member of the system is completely unique. There are five main systems.
